Evil on Copper Ridge Road



An abandoned building on Copper Ridge Road in Knoxville, TN, is said to be home to evil. People who visit are often overcome with fear. The building has also recently been home to Satanists as well. Now it is heavily guarded by the police.
Accounts vary on the building's history. It's a large, two story building which is now badly run down. Some claim that it was a Masonic lodge. Others say it was a church. Still others say it was a hospital during the Civil War. Perhaps it was all of these at different points in it's history. Maybe someone more familiar with the structure can clear this controversy up.

The building is said to be home of evil spirits. One story posted online tells of a group who went into the building after dark and placed a tape recorder inside recording. A little while later, they returned and listened to it. They heard a voice begging for help! The put it back into the building and left it overnight. When they listened to it the next day, they heard noises and screams, until footsteps approached the recorder and turned it off! Other reports claim dark figures walk around the building at night, and red eyes can be seen staring out at you.

The cemetery next to the building is also said to be home to some paranormal activity. Moans are sometimes heard, and mist and strange lights are sometimes seen.

What causes all these occurrences? No one can be sure, which is probably for the best.
